BENAULIM: Colva Police have registered a case following a complaint by Cruz Fernandes of Benaulim, who alleged that he was assaulted by Jesus Manuel at St. Rock Bar, Benaulim, on August 16, 2026.
According to the complaint, at around 10 pm, the accused allegedly caught hold of Fernandes by the neck and took him outside the bar before assaulting him with fist blows and kicks.
The accused also allegedly tore the complainant’s clothes and wrongfully restrained him during the assault. The incident is suspected to have stemmed from previous enmity between the two.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Anil Krishna of Colva Police Station.
