CURTORIM: Maina Curtorim Police have registered a case against a man for allegedly trespassing into a house at Nuvem and sexually assaulting an 85-year-old woman.
According to police, the complaint was lodged on July 9 by the victim’s daughter-in-law, alleging that the incident occurred at around 7.30 pm on July 7 at Anus, Nuvem, Salcete.
The accused has been identified as Stanley Coutinho, a resident of Calangute. Police alleged that he criminally trespassed into the premises, sexually assaulted the elderly woman, abused her and outraged her modesty.
A case has been registered at Maina Curtorim Police Station under Sections 332(b), 64(1), 74 and 76 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The identities of the complainant and the victim have been withheld. Further investigation is being carried out by LPSI Veronica Coutinho.
