CURTORIM: A 43-year-old man was found dead inside a rented room at Ralloi, Curtorim, after reportedly not being seen for two days.
According to police, information was received on July 26, 2024, at around 1:46 pm from a beat constable regarding a person who had not come out of his room for the past two days. A police team immediately visited the spot to conduct an inquiry.
During inspection, the man was found lying inside the toilet of the rented premises. He was later identified as Sunil Nair (43), a resident of Ralloi, Curtorim.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that the deceased had a history of chronic alcohol consumption and was also suffering from diabetes and tuberculosis.
Police conducted a scene of occurrence panchanama and inquest over the body. The शव has been preserved at South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, for post-mortem and further medico-legal formalities.
An unnatural death case has been registered, and further inquiry is being carried out by PSI Ashutosh Naik of Margao Police Station.
