MARGAO: Former Tourism Minister Micky Pacheco said that he would join the Congress party in the next few days.
Addressing a press conference, Pacheco said he would join Congress in few days. He said he had long discussions with party high command in Dehli and submitted preliminary reports on Goa Congress.
Pacheco says he expressed his desire for contesting the forthcoming Assembly election from Nuvem or Benaulim.
He also said that there is no need for an alliance with any political party. If any regional party dreams of the coalition, they should now think about the merger with their party in Congress.
Pacheco also said that there should not be any change in the party president.
“Some NGO’s are trying to come from the backdoor in the politics. Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal’s movement gave a chance to BJP to form the government, which was the main reason for the loss of Congress in Lok Sabha,” he said.
