Vasco:In a major step towards strengthening waste management, the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) in Vasco has received a fleet of garbage collection and utility vehicles.
The handover ceremony was held in the presence of Vasco MLA Krishna Daji Salkar and Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar, along with civic officials and councillors.
A total of 12 vehicles, including a JCB, have been added to enhance efficiency and operational capacity of the council’s waste management system.
MMC Chairperson Girish Borkar and councillors were congratulated for their efforts in promoting scientific waste management practices in the city.
The initiative has been supported under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by JSW Group, Adani Group, and Goa Shipyard Limited, marking a significant move towards ensuring a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Vasco city.
