New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for striking a fine balance between India’s cultural heritage and technological advancement. Speaking at the 63rd Foundation Day celebration of Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Shah said Modi’s vision brought both the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya and cutting-edge 5G technology to India.
“Some people with leftist mindsets question what was achieved by building the Ram Mandir. They will never understand,” Shah remarked. “Modi ji gave us the Ram Temple and introduced 5G to India. He brought digital payments to even the local vegetable vendor.”
The Home Minister underscored the government’s commitment to transforming India by honoring its roots while embracing modernity. He highlighted the phasing out of colonial-era symbols, the growth of premier institutions like AIIMS and IITs, and the push for education in regional languages as key examples of the Modi administration’s vision.
Lauding Bharat Vikas Parishad for its decades-long dedication to service, Shah said the organisation is not merely an institution but a movement that connects people to their cultural identity. He praised BVP’s extensive network of over 1,600 branches across the country and their unwavering presence during national disasters and social initiatives.
“BVP is inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. It is not just an organisation but an idea rooted in Indian values. It has served with selflessness even before this era began, and I’m confident it will continue to do so in the years ahead,” Shah said.
