MOPA: The PWD has declared that the road that links Mopa International Airport (NH 166) to NH 66 has been designated as a “No Parking/No Halting Zone.” This indicates that parking and stopping are prohibited on this stretch of road.
As per information, the Construction of a six-lane road (NH-1665) with a paved shoulder configuration to Mopa Airport in the state of Goa on EPC Mode” is already complete and the road has been commissioned for traffic.
“Parking/halting of vehicles is not permitted on this road from NH-66 junction to Manohar International Airport,” the order states
At a cost of Rs 1,183 crore, a new seven-kilometre Mopa link road was built with the goal of facilitating better access to Manohar International Airport.
The construction of the route was intended to increase tourism, improve multimodal connectivity, and reduce logistical expenses.
