PORVORIM: While the Goa Police Director General of Police Jaspal Singh is busy on “X”, formerly Twitter, pointing our the mistakes of the visual and print media, he seems to have forgotten to put his own house in order first.
Of late, the DGP Goa Mr Singh is seen busy criticising the media more than his own team on “X”. However, his own team has failed to maintain law and order in the State as the Coastal State sees series of murders in last few days.
On Friday, Goa was rocked by the murder of the 30-year-old Porvorim girl Kamakshi, who was killed by her ex-boyfriend Prakash Chunchwad, a 22-yr old boy, and dumped her body in Amboli Ghat in Maharashtra, around 76 kilometers from Porvorim.
Now the question that arises is that how did Prakash cross the border in the Hyundai Verna car.
The car black tinted glasses and the shocking part is that the Goa Police, which stops every two wheeler or a tourists at every kilometer, failed to stop this car, which had dark tinted glass.
When questioned a police official, spekaing on condition of anonymity, said that not all vehicles are stopped.
However, Goemkarponn agrees that not all vehicles could be stopped at borders but atleast the ones with tinted glass violating laws can be stopped.
The rationale behind the Supreme Court judgement behind banning tinted glass was to stop such kinds of crimes.
