MARGAO: An unidentified man, aged approximately 55 to 60 years, was brought dead to the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, on October 23, after reportedly being found lying near Gate No. 1 of Margao Railway Station.
According to information received from the casualty police at SGDH Margao, a phone call was received at around 7.50 am informing that the man had been brought to the hospital by a 108 ambulance.
Upon visiting the hospital and conducting enquiries, police learnt that the deceased was reportedly a chronic alcoholic and a rag picker.
The body has been preserved at SGDH Margao for further medico-legal formalities. The identity of the deceased has not been established so far.
Further enquiry is being conducted by PSI Shubham Gaunkar of Margao Town Police Station.
