CALANGUTE: Calangute Police have arrested a 22-year-old man from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in connection with an alleged assault that left a co-occupant with serious bleeding injuries at a guest house in Naika Wado, Calangute, Bardez.
According to the complaint lodged by Samir Korgaonkar, 40, on October 22 at 2.52 am, the incident occurred at around 10 pm on October 21 in Room No. 101 of Savita Guest House, Naika Wado, Calangute.
The complaint alleges that two guests occupying the room, identified as Parmar Amitkumar of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and Keshav Mehra of Haryana, assaulted their co-occupant, Parmar Jaideep, who was also a guest at the establishment. The accused allegedly acted with a common intention, causing serious bleeding injuries to Jaideep, before fleeing the scene.
Police arrested Amitkumar, son of Parmar Jagdishbhai, aged 22, a resident of Ahmedabad, on October 22 at 2.10 pm. The second alleged accused, Keshav Mehra, is also named in the complaint.
Further investigation is in progress under PSI Snehal Malik.
