MLA Michael Lobo questions whether the necessary infrastructure has been made available to the schools to implement NEP.

PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Anganwadis will be shifted in government primary school buildings which have been closed.
He was replying to questioned tabled by Calangute BJP MLA Michael Lobo on Implementation of National Education (NEP) 2020.
“Anganwadis will be shifted in government primary school buildings which have been closed.Women and Child Department has instructed to shift Anganwadis from rented premises to nearby schools,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that Department of Education started identifying clusters at College level. Chose of Subject level admissions have began at University level.
Sawant further said that training has been given to 235 teachers at pre-primary level and they later trained all the anganwadi workers.
“At the HSS level training has been given for teachers through online and practical mediums. Also NEP implementation has been discussed with PTA and management,” said CM.
MLA Lobo questioned whether the Education Department has implemented New Education Policy
for the year 2023 academic year and whether the Education Department has implemented New Education Policy for the year 2023 academic year.
The MLA also questioned whether the necessary infrastructure has been made available to the schools to implement NEP.

Sawant said that NEP-2020 is been implemented at Foundational Stage 1 from the academic year 2023- 2024
