PANAJI:Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that the New Education Policy will be implemented in a phased manner and will be completely implemented by 2030 for school education and 2040 for higher education as per the provisions of the National Education Policy.
“The Policy will be implemented in a phased manner and will be completely implemented by 2030 for school education & 2040 for higher education as per the provisions of the National Education Policy,” said CM Sawant
He further said that the New Educational Policy 2020 will be implemented in phased manner. This year only entry age for Foundation stage (Nursery) has been decided and other components will follow soon after both the task force Committee reports are received.
“Through Department of Information & Technology consisted efforts have been made to improve the internet connectivity. Wherever it is feasible,” he added
CM Sawant further said that Resource Teachers will be appointed as per the existing scheme. Once NEP-2020 report is finalized, Department will revise the existing scheme.
When asked whether the New Educational Policy do away with No- Detention; CM said that It will be studied as per National Curriculum Frame work 2021 and State RTE rules 2012 and appropriate decision will be taken in due course of time.
