SANKHALI: The North Goa District Mineral Foundation Trust (NGDMFT) organised a District Mineral Foundation (DMF) Awareness Programme under the Chief Minister’s flagship initiative Atmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa 2.0 at the Sanquelim Municipal Hall.
The programme was attended by elected representatives of Zilla Panchayats, Village Panchayats and Municipalities, Swayampurna Mitras from mining-affected villages and municipal areas, Taluka Nodal Officers, representatives of various government departments, mining lease holders, and other stakeholders associated with development works in mining-affected areas.
During the session, participants were briefed on the role of the District Mineral Foundation in promoting the sustainable and equitable development of mining-affected communities.
Discussions focused on identifying local development priorities, strengthening inter-departmental coordination, and ensuring the effective implementation of projects for the benefit of mining-affected areas.
The awareness session was facilitated by Ratnakant D. Govenker, Member-Secretary of NGDMFT, and Dr. Sachin K. Tendulkar, Team Leader (PMU-MFG).
