NERUL: Police have registered a case following a complaint by Arvind Chawla, property owner and business owner of NODO Living, Nerul, Bardez, alleging that a man entered the premises late at night, assaulted a staff member, damaged property and allegedly attempted to interfere with CCTV and electronic evidence.
According to the complaint, the incident took place between 11:30 pm on August 22 and 4:00 am on August 24, 2026, at NODO Living, Nerul.
The accused has been identified as Jyoti Vadgama, residing at Cinnamon Lofts Apartments, Battiwado, Nerul, Bardez, and a permanent resident of the United Kingdom.
The complainant alleged that Vadgama entered the premises with the intention of intimidating staff and causing disturbance. While inside the property, he allegedly assaulted a staff member who was on duty and caused damage to a reception computer and a washing machine, resulting in wrongful loss to the complainant.
It was further alleged that the accused threatened and intimidated staff members and attempted to interfere with or tamper with the CCTV system and electronic evidence connected to the incident.
The complaint was lodged by Chawla on August 25, 2026, at around 3:15 pm.
