PANAJI: The North Goa District Road Safety Committee (DRSC) meeting was chaired by North Goa District Magistrate Ankit Yadav, IAS, to review key road safety initiatives and strengthen coordination among stakeholder departments.
During the meeting, Jeremias B. C. Fernandes and his team were felicitated for securing first place in the “Reels 2 Road – Road Safety Reels Competition” organised by the Centre of Excellence for Road Safety, IIT Madras. The team was presented with a demand draft of ₹10,000.
The committee discussed the District Road Safety Action Plan, enforcement against modified silencers, removal of stray cattle from National Highways, installation of road safety signages along beach roads, deployment of patrolling vehicles, improvement of KTC bus stands, and timely construction of speed breakers and repair of potholes.
All stakeholder departments reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing road safety and ensuring safer roads across North Goa.
