PANJIM: Keeping in view of the safety of public at large, the Church authorities today have decided that Novena and Feast of St Francis Xavier masses from November 24 will not be open for public at the Basilica.
Instead all masses will be telecasted live on the official church website www.bomjesus.org and the church youtube channel live.

Every year on the 3rd of December marks the anniversary of St Francis Xavier’s death where thousands of people gather at the Basilica of Bom Jesus. This annual festival is also known as St Francis Xavier or the Goinchea Saibache (Lord of Goa Festival).
People nearby, as well as people from all around the globe, come to participate in the morning mass of this grand event. The Feast of St Xavier is the biggest of all the Christian festivals in Goa.
