BICHOLIM: Following the ban of tourists and locals on waterfalls in Sattari, the villagers from Latambarcem in Bicholim have also followed suit.
During monsoon season, a waterfall in Ladfe-Latambarcem takes shape. Several locals from Bicholim and surrounding areas who know the place visit this place to enjoy. But instead of just enjoying in water, they dirty the place.
As per the locals, this place is regarded as holy, and people who come here also bring non-vegetarian food. Some also consume alcohol which destroys the serenity of the place. “There is no problem if people come to this place to enjoy but those who come to visit this place throw garbage and also do not maintain displine,” Deelip Desai told.
In view of this, the Sateri Kelbai Devasthan has given strict order to the public not to come to this waterfall and that strict action would be taken on those who violate the order.
They have also tried to tell that the place is not a tourist destination but a holy place for the locals.
