PANAJI: Goa Forward Party (GFP) MLA Vijai Sardesai has demanded immediate measures to address traffic problems around the Porvorim Elevated Corridor, saying commuters cannot be left waiting for further studies and reports.
Sardesai said that telling commuters there is “no immediate solution” is not an answer to the problems they are facing. He called for urgent action to address traffic bottlenecks, access points, service roads and overall traffic management around the corridor.
Sardesai stressed the need for practical measures that can provide immediate relief to commuters, instead of relying solely on further studies and reports.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao described the Porvorim flyover as “unplanned development” and demanded that an FIR be registered in connection with the project.
