PANJIM: The Electricity Department Goa has initiated various Digital payment options for the consumers towards payment of Electricity Bills and other charges in view of Prime Minister’s vision towards DIGITAL INDIA.
The Payment Gateways have been incorporated on the Department’s Website wherein the Consumer can make payments through Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet bank and UPI. The Electricity Department has implemented the Bharat Bill Payment system wherein payments can be carried out at various co-operative societies/banks. All other
Digital options such as BHIM APP, other payment APP etc. have also been activated for payment. Besides this, Department has also installed Any Time Payment Machines at five major towns in Goa for cash payments.
The department has also installed Swipe machines (Point of Sale Machines) at each of its payment counters wherein the consumer can do payments through Credit/Debit Card, the consumer can also carry out payments through cash at its payment counters, In view of above, it is hereby intimated to all consumers that this Electricity Department will henceforth not accept Cheque or DD towards payments of Electricity bill or for any other payments made to the department.
