PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said OBC reservations will be in place before the Panchayat Elections.
“The Directorate of Panchayats has already submitted the raw data on the OBC community to the OBC commission, and in the next 10 days, the commissions will go through data and send it to the state election commission,” said CM Sawant.
Sawant said that the government wanted the polls postponed due to the reservation issue so that no injustice was done to the OBC community.
“Government wanted to make the reservation, so they had asked for extra time,” he added.
