PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for clearing the proposal of considering the Revocation of Passport order issued by passport authorities in lieu of Surrender Certificate for permitting Visa / Exit Permissions and OCI card cases.
“After taking over the charge as a Union Minister for Home Affairs, Amit Shah cleared the proposal of considering the Revocation of Passport order issued by passport authorities in lieu of Surrender Certificate for permitting Visa / Exit Permissions and OCI card cases,” said Sawant.
He further said that this decision comes as a huge relief to the Portuguese passport holders (originally Goan residents) in availing OCI card.
“On behalf of fellow Goans, I express my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi
and Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah for this pro-people decision,” he added.
Sawant also said that even after the Elections, Modi’s guarantee continues to deliver what is promised.
