PANAJI: A fatal accident has been reported at Chimbel bypass leading to the death of cyclist on the spot.
The accident took place during the early hours of Friday.
As per information, the deceased has been identified as Devu Mardolkar, a resident of Chimbel-Old Goa.
The locals said that the accident took place earlier morning when a Kadamba Transport Limited bus hit the cyclist near the Chimbel junction early morning.
An eyewitness said that the deceased was crushed under the bus at the busy junction and died on the spot.
A case has been registered, and police have informed that further investigation into the accident is currently on.
