COLVA: Colva Police conducted a raid on an alleged online gambling den at a house in Colva on Wednesday evening, August 20, and arrested three persons for allegedly accepting illegal online bets.
According to police, the raid was carried out between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm at a premises in the 3rd Ward of Colva, following information about gambling activities.
The accused have been identified as Jitendrasinh Chauhan (24), Narendrasinh Rathod (25), and Rahul Patel (33).
Police said the three were allegedly caught red-handed while accepting online bets and operating computer-based and online games from the premises.
During the raid, police seized 11 laptops, 30 mobile phones and other items allegedly linked to online gambling. The total value of the seized material has been estimated at around ₹13 lakh.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
