PONDA: The Revolutionary Goans (RG) leaders at Ponda Premanand Gaude, Shailesh Naik and members today protested at Ponda Police Station demanding justice for two minor rape victims and also for one victim who was found dead in the open PWD Chamber at Bethora.
RGP also protested against the mobile tower at Kundaim Government High School premises forcefully by one mobile company despite opposition by PTA and Locals.
They met Ponda DySP CL Patil and discussed their demand.
Speaking to the media, Premanand Gaude said that there are growing cases of crimes in Goa which need to be controlled by the Police.
He expressed concern over the migrant involved in a rape case of a 12-year-old Ponda girl.
He said migrants adopt Goan surnames, stay here and commit crimes. Gaude urged Goan communities to keep a check on such migrants adopting Goan names and demanded Chief Minister strict action against a police constable from Dharbandora for raping a 15-year-old girl.
RG leader Premanand Gaude demanded the government immediately pay compensation family of the victim person who was found died in the open chamber at Bethora two days back.
He further demanded strong action against PWD’s negligence in keeping the water valve chamber open at Bethora where one person was suspected to be accidentally falling and dying. Shailesh Naik said Minister Subash Shirodkar, who had inaugurated the chamber, should look into the matter.
He demanded Police conduct an inquiry to register action against the person responsible for negligently keeping the PWD open. The victim learnt to be survived by young children, and so the government paid them immediate compensation.
When asked, DySP CL Patil said that says Police are investigating and will take action according to the law.
