PANAJI: Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and IT, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar highlighted today the remarkable growth of India’s economy which has generated over nine lakh jobs in the tech manufacturing sector, with a special emphasis on empowering women in rural and semi-urban areas.
Addressing a gathering, MoS Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the economic turnaround has been possible thanks to the transformative policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, “Goa must embrace emerging technologies and move beyond traditional IT and ITes sectors.”
The minister is on a three-day visit to the constituencies of Margao and Fatorda in South Goa.
He met with senior leaders of the party including former Goa Chief Minister and legislator Shri Digambar Kamat, Shri Krishna Salkar, MLA and karyakartas during which he discussed achievements of 9 years’ of Modi Government and thanked them for their dedicated efforts.
While speaking at the Sampark se Sammelan meet, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar said, “Pre 2014 the Governments worked for dynasties post 2014 Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s government has worked tirelessly towards the welfare of the citizens with a commitment of Seva, Sushasan, and Garib Kalyan.”
The minister visited homes of several Goan citizens and senior karyakartas where he engaged in discussions about the overall growth of the region and the state.
Referring to PM Narendra Modi’s vision of Skill India the minister said, “PM Narendra Modi ji has allocated over Rs 8000 crores to establishment of skill centres in schools and colleges of the state. We are committed to funding skilling centers and preparing youth for the next decade.”
