PONDA: Just ahead of the forthcoming Assembly polls, the politicians are busy jumping from one party to another for their political gains, irrespective of the voters’ sentiments.
The voters, hit severely by the inflation and pandemic induced lockdowns, feel it is time to teach these jumping chickens lessons.
The pandemic and inflation hit voters now question the Polticians what they had done to give them relief and upliftment when people were severely hit by pandemic and inflation.
“We are waiting for elections date to teach lessons to Politicians, who are aiming of regaining power. These were the same people who were responsible for our plight,” say voters.
According to voters Umesh Naik at Ponda, Aam Admi spent sleepless nights fighting inflation while politicians enjoyed all benefits as MLAs/ministers.
He said there are many political developments these days
“We are waiting for elections date to teach lessons to Politicians. Aam Admi lost their jobs, no income source, and no salary increment, but inflation is skyrocketing, and politicians are doing nothing to fight against it,” he said.
Gauri Naik, a housewife, at Kavlem asked whether the politicians knew about our sufferings on account of inflation.
“Did they know the rates of skyrocketing prices of commodities? From coconut, vegetables, edible, domestic gas, fuel prices to every commodity have become unaffordable,” she said.
She said the painful thing is the politicians are insensitive to the problems.
She said she is unaware who is joining what party, “but surely we are waiting for them to show the road back home.”
On the backdrop of this, when Goemkarponn tried to judge the mood of Aam Aadmi, it appeared that Aam Aadmi is more bothered about suffering and not bothered about who joining which party.
On the other hand, the politicians are bothered about the political future and not the voters who want relief from suffering.
