PANAJI: As Goa gears up for New Year Celebrations, DGP Goa Jaspal Singh IPS today said that adequate police and traffic police deployment has been made for New Year’s Eve.
“Adequate police and traffic police deployment has been made for New Year’s Eve,” said DGP.
He further said that people should follow lanes while driving and not park vehicles in an obstructive way.
“Drunken driving will not be tolerated. Those in beach areas should celebrate responsibly,” he added.
The DGP said that Anti Sabotage Teams formed for both North and South Districts will deal with unknown and unclaimed bags, items or packages to avoid any unnecessary panic.
“Anti Terrorist Squad has also been deployed, people should celebrate New Year’s responsibly,” he added.
