PONDA: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said India dreams of becoming Vishwaguru, and towards this, various concepts are adopted by the Government of India.
As part of this, under the new education policy, the Goa government will give more scope for research in educational institutions, Sawant said.
He said the government had already decided in the Research Foundation Policy cabinet.
“Under new education Government will give priority in providing more and strong support to colleges and professional colleges for encouraging research work in their institutions. This will help the progress of education and the development of society,” he said.
Sawant was speaking at the “MODI@20” Book launching ceremony today, which was held at PES Pharmacy College Farmagudi Ponda in the presence of Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik, BJP Goa State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade. Narendra Sawaikar and other dignitaries.
In his speech, he said he took a lot of inspiration from the hard work of PM Narendra Modi.
He said during his 12 years as CM of Gujarat h and eight years as PM, Modi took Gujrath and India on the development path.
He started various missions and ideas of progress, starting from Clean India in 2014, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Skill India, Start up India etc. and now the new education policy.
During the Covid pandemic, he made laudable efforts by encouraging research on the Covid vaccine and a hundred per cent free vaccination drive within a year after the pandemic spread.
His vision is to make India a world top Nation.
