OLD GOA: Old Goa Police have registered an FIR against Police Inspector Vikas Deykar, attached to the Crime Branch Police Station, and Ranjini Palyekar in connection with allegations of sexual assault on a minor girl.
According to the complaint, Deykar allegedly sexually assaulted the minor at the Crime Branch premises in Ribandar on two occasions — July 25, 2026, and October 27, 2026. The second accused, Ranjini Palyekar, allegedly facilitated the incidents.
Old Goa Police Station has registered FIR No. 132/2026 under Sections 75, 127, 49 and 61(2)(a), read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, along with Sections 10 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Further investigation into the case is underway at Old Goa Police Station.
