PONDA: The upper bazaar junction sign showing Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir road has been lying in the dust. Neither Rajiv Kala Mandir nor the PWD Department bothered to give it fresh paint and renovate it.
The sign board showing directions and having the name of Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir is almost wiped out and disappeared.
Without a proper signboard, the commuters travelling at Rajiv Kala Mandir get confused at this Junction where one road leads towards Khandepar and another at Rajiv Kala Mandir and Bethora.
Following the renovation of Kala Academy at Panaji, many programmes are organised at Rajiv Kala Mandir Ponda. People from all over the state visit Ponda Taluka to watch tiatra, dramas and other programmes.
The locals invited the attention of PWD and Rajiv Kala Mandir authorities towards the sign board, which is lying in dust and needs to be renovated.
