Margao: “Congress Government’s Cabinet Ministers in 2007-2012 did nothing, only looted funds, says CM Dr. Pramod Sawant. This statement needs to be replied to by Margao MLA Digambar Kamat who was then CM of Goa. Six of his then Cabinet Ministers are now in Government,” said Youth Leader Prabhav Naik.
Reacting sharply to the statement made by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant in an interview with a local channel, Prabhav Naik pointed to then Congress Government Ministers Ravi Naik, Sudin Dhavlikar, Vishwajit Rane, Aleixo Sequeira, Atanasio Monserrate & Nilkanth Halarnkar who are now in BJP Government.
The Chief Minister has made serious charges against the Government headed by Margao MLA Digambar Kamat who was the Chief Minister of Goa from 2007 to 2012. If Margao MLA keeps quiet now, it will be an insult to Madgaonkars, claimed Prabhav Naik.
Madgaonkars have elected Digambar Kamat consistently despite his shifting from Congress to BJP to Congress to BJP. Statement by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant is in a way an attack on the Citizens of Margao. MLA Digambar Kamat now must make his position clear, said Prabhav Naik.
