PALOLEM: A property dispute allegedly turned violent at Palolem, Canacona, with three persons booked for allegedly assaulting a local man on the night of August 25.
According to the complaint filed by Sandip Pagi of Canacona, the incident took place at around 10 pm when accused Swastik Pagi, Vasu Pagi and Geeta Pagi, all residents of Canacona, allegedly acted with a common intention and assaulted him over a property dispute.
Police said accused No. 1, Swastik Pagi, allegedly assaulted the complainant on his head with a koita. Accused No. 2, Vasu Pagi, allegedly accompanied him carrying a wooden danda and assaulted the complainant with it.
The complainant further alleged that accused No. 3, Geeta Pagi, bit him on his right hand, causing injuries.
Further investigation into the case is being carried out by HC 6976 Diptesh Gaonkar of Canacona Police Station.
