MAPUSA: In a drive against drug trade Anjuna Police Station on Sunday, arrested a Rajasthani native for possesion of drugs.
Based on reliable information laid a trap on information of person carrying narcotic substance, Anjuna police took swift action and placed the accused under arrest.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi Anjuna Police successfully conducted narcotic raid near Splash down water park, Anjuna at around 8 pm and intercepted Devendranath S/o Laxminnath Gosavi, age 28 yrs Residing at H. No. 723/B, Canca Bandh, Bardez Goa and Native of Rajasthan.
During the raid Police successfully attached narcotic susbstance Ganja W/Rs. 50,000/- and Charas W/Rs. 50,000/- All W/Rs. 100,000/- from the possession of accused person and also attached a motorcycle of make KTM Duke bearing registration number GA 04 J 4999.
Police registered offence u/s 22 (b) (ii) (A) of NDPS Act.
