PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that the Goa government’s decision to expand the healthcare workforce marks another major step towards strengthening the state’s “Goa Model of Healthcare.”
Welcoming the Cabinet’s approval, Rane said the government has cleared the appointment of physiotherapists, medical imaging technicians, optometrists and anaesthesia technicians, while also approving a revision in the remuneration of staff serving in the Cardiology Department.
He said the decisions reaffirm the government’s commitment to delivering accessible, affordable and quality healthcare while empowering healthcare professionals serving the people of Goa.
“Every step towards strengthening our healthcare workforce is an investment in the health and well-being of every Goan,” Rane said, adding that the measures will further improve healthcare delivery across the state.
The Health Minister also thanked Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and the State Cabinet for their continued support in advancing the vision of a healthier, stronger and more resilient Goa.
