VERNA: Verna Police have registered a case against five relatives of a complainant for allegedly criminally trespassing into his property at Kesarval, Cortalim, damaging plantation fencing, assaulting him and issuing death threats.
The case was registered following a complaint filed by Rosario Vaz of Velvaddo, Quelossim, who alleged that the incident occurred on June 8, 2026, at around 1:00 p.m.
According to the complaint, the accused—Anthony Gama, Anthonetta Gama, Esperansa Tavares, Albertina Gama and Eugenio Gama, all residents of Kesarval, Cortalim—acted with a common intention and entered his property, where they allegedly damaged the plantation Agro Net installed on the boundary fencing, causing an estimated loss of ₹40,000.
The complainant further alleged that when he objected, the accused abused him with filthy language and threatened that they had hired “gundas” to kill him.
He also alleged that Anthony Gama assaulted him, while Anthonetta Gama allegedly approached him with a koita and Eugenio Gama allegedly came with a stone to assault him.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI David Costa of Verna Police Station.
