PANAJI: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced that alignment work is currently underway for Goa’s ambitious Ring Road Project, estimated to cost ₹15,000 crore. He stated that the project would represent the culmination of all major road infrastructure developments in the State.
However, Gadkari declined to reveal the exact route of the proposed alignment, citing concerns over speculative land purchases.
“I have deliberately withheld the route alignment to prevent speculative land purchases, especially by politicians,” the Minister said.
The Ring Road project is expected to significantly improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion in and around Goa once completed.
