CANACONA – While the schools came alive after a lull of two long years, parents accompanying their wardens made an unusual rush to different school premises on Monday.
In fact, most schools in the taluka witnessed an unusual rush of vehicles to the school premises after school hours, with parents making a beeline to pick up their children.
The rush of vehicles all at one time is, however, attributed to being the first day of School, and many of the parents dropped their children at School and came to collect them after the school hours, while many students were yet to be enrolled for school buses, informed sources.
Interestingly, many students were noticed wearing face masks, while most teachers and staff were seen without masks.
In most schools, students were briefed on Covid restriction measures, while still, in some schools, instructions were given to the students not to mingle with other classes/students from different classes. Amidst fear of Covid recurrence, class-wise, students were earmarked certain playing areas in the school compound during recess and are asked to refrain from physical contact/maintain social distancing in the classroom and laying areas.
According to sources, the rush of vehicles will, however, will be lesser in the next few days, while policemen placed at a few places had a difficult time with primary traffic discipline.
