Play competition on National Vector Borne Disease control programme in Canacona.
Community Health Centre (CHC) Canacona organised the street Play within Canacona taluka level for higher Secondary and Poster drawing competition for high school level on National Vector Borne Disease control programme
The winners in the Poster drawing competition on Malaria Mukt Bharat-2023 conducted by CHC Canacona are -1st Sambhavi Sangtu Gaonkar (Shri Balram Residential High School, Amone, 2nd –Raju Ramesh Gaonkar (Shri Balram Residential High School, Amone and 3rd – Raj K Bandekar (Shree Nirakar Vidyalaya Maxem.
The Chief Guest for the function was Dy Collector of Canacona Ramesh Gaonkar, Guest of Honour Ramakant Naikgaonkar (Chairperson of CMC Canacona).
Health Officer Dr Jose Tavares, Dr Sneha (Nodal Officer for NVBD-Canacona, Sanitary Inspector Pranay Naik, Ward Master Prashant Devidas, IEC Officer Nilima Bhagat, Health Workers Manoj Tari , Nilesh Komarpant and Vishal Amonkar, Surveillance Worker Dilkush Chodankar were present.
The street play and the poster competitions were held with the sole intention to make aware all people about how the diseases spread and how we ourself can control to spread of vector borne diseases., informed Health Ofifcer Dr Jose Tavares, ‘Tavares also informed that information should reach to every house hold and people and health facilities are required to work hand-in-hand to make Canacona free from Mosquito menace.
Sanitary Inspector Pranay Naik welcome the guests and provided details about diseases, while Dr Sneha Chodankar spoke regarding prevention of the NVBD.
