CUNCOLIM: Cuncolim Police have registered a theft case after construction materials worth approximately ₹11 lakh were allegedly stolen from a factory at the IDC, Cuncolim.
According to the complaint filed by Pravin Kakode, owner of Upgrade Enterprises factory at IDC, Cuncolim, the theft occurred prior to August 8, 2026, at the factory premises.
Police said the accused, identified as Ratan Kumar Parida, a native of Odisha and an employee of the factory working as a security guard, allegedly committed the theft along with his friend Deepak Nishad, whose address is not known.
The duo allegedly acted with a common intention and stole construction materials kept in the factory’s store room. The stolen materials are estimated to be worth around ₹11 lakh.
Further investigation in the case is being conducted by PSI Sahil Pagui of Cuncolim Police.
