CURCHOREM, July 4: A series of alleged robbery and attempted break-in incidents reported overnight in Ward No. 15 of Curchorem has triggered concern among residents, who are demanding enhanced security measures and increased police patrolling in the area.
According to local residents, CCTV footage from Bhatniwada captured two unidentified individuals wearing raincoats allegedly breaking into a house at around 3.15 a.m. The suspects were seen moving through the locality during the early hours of the morning.
Residents claimed that another nearby house and a local shop were also targeted during the same night.
In a separate incident, an attempted break-in was reported at the Sateri Temple in the Curchorem Bazaar area. The suspects allegedly tried to force open the temple’s main entrance but were unsuccessful.
The string of incidents has left residents worried about their safety and security. Locals have urged the police to intensify night patrolling and take immediate steps to prevent further incidents.
Police are expected to examine CCTV footage and investigate the reported incidents to identify and apprehend those responsible. Further details are awaited.
