CANACONA: Students and staff of Shri Nirakar Vidyalaya Mashem, Canacona, conducted a cleanliness drive at Mobor Beach Mashem Canacona.
The programme was undertaken as part of ‘Swatchata Pakhawada’ organised by the country in general and Goa state in particular. The drive was led by school headmistress Urvi Phaldesai and physical education teacher Nilesh Prabhu Desai.
Other teachers and staff who participated in the drive included Deepa Fernandes, Mathili Gunaji, Sayali Pagi, Aishwarya Pagi, Nikita Pagi, Ravish Satarkar and students. Several bags of thrash, which were collected in the drive, has been handed over to the Panchayat for its scientific disposal.
Chairman of Shree Nirakar Education Society Prashant Naik has congratulated the entire team of teachers and students for their initiative.
