Speaking at the launch of the book “Surboos Khanna Jevnna” a kind Konkani recipe book authored by Dr Rina Saish Lawande that brings together traditional and popular recipes from the days of old, Naik complimented her for preserving the fast-fading knowledge that survived so far only through word of mouth.
“In the old days, when we used to cook, there used to be ingredients that had medicinal effects and these used to be used in the preparation. I am happy that books like these will help take us back to our roots,” Naik said.

The 178-page book includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian recipes as well as snacks and traditional savouries.
Er. Saish Lawande compared the function and Dr. Suraj Lawande proposed a Vote of thanks
