PANAJI: An accused in the death case of TikTok star Sonali Phogat was granted bail by the Goa High Court.
The bail application of Sukhwinder Singh was rejected by a lower court earlier, after which he appealed before the High Court for relief. In April, the main Accussed Sudhir Pal Sangwan was also granted bail by the lower court.
The High Court granted bail to Sukhwinder Singh on the condition that he surrenders his passport, be present for investigation before the CBI as and when called and not leave Goa.
The CBI is probing into the mysterious death of Phogat in Goa in September 2022.
In November last year, the CBI filed a charge sheet against two aides of Haryana BJP leader Sonali Phogat in a Goa court, indicting them for her murder.
The central probe agency filed the charge sheet against Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh under IPC section 302 (murder) and other provisions at a special court in Mapusa, Goa on Monday.
