PANAJI: Goa govt has allotted 36 staff to the newly formed Mandrem Police Station.
The Station headed by Police Inspector(PI) Sherif Jaques will have one PSI, 3 ASIs, 6 Head Constables, 22 Police Constables and 3 Lady Police Constables.
Meanwhile, PI Arun Bakre has been transferred to Dabolim Airport Police Station.
According to a government notification, 11 villages, which are currently under the jurisdiction of Pernem police station, will be brought under the limits of Mandrem police station.
The areas currently brought within the jurisdiction of Mandrem police station will cease to be within the jurisdiction of Pernem Police Station, the notification issued by Vivek K Naik, Under Secretary (Home-1), said.
As per the notification, the villages to be under the jurisdiction of new Mandrem police station are Keri, Terekhol, Palyem, Kiranpani, Arambol, Mandrem, Agarwada, Chopdem, Parsem and Tuem.
