PANAJI: Expressing concern over the States Dependence on the neighboring states for its basic necessities like vegetables, flowers, and Milk, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Government is providing 20 crores subsidy per year for vegetables and urged the people of Goa to start their own business by deriving benefits of Government schemes.
“We are dependent on other States for necessities like vegetables and flowers Government is providing 20 crores subsidy per year for vegetables; I urge people of Goa to start their own business by deriving benefits of Government schemes,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that the government is constantly working to support women with financial power through the RDA department.
“Today, we have almost distributed Rs. 2.30 crores to SHGs and village organizations from all over Goa. 300 Self-help Groups and 164 village organizations, and from these groups, almost 42 thousand Women have become Sawyampurna,” he added.
Meanwhile, CM Sawant said that we could successfully make Goa Swayampurna.
