PORVORIM: Director of Education (DoE) today has issued a circular permitting Higher Secondary Schools in the state to conduct examinations in offline i.e. physical mode for the students of Std XI and XII by following all covid pandemic related SOPs and guidelines.
“Government has decided to permit Higher Secondary Schools in the state to conduct examinations in offline mode for the students of Std. XI & XII; provided they follow all necessary COVID-19 SOP’s/ protocols and guidelines issued from time to time by the Central and / or State Government(s),” said DoE
The DoE further said that during the current COVID-19 crisis, the Directorate of Education, Government of Goa has received quite many requests from various Higher Secondary Schools to allow them to conduct examinations in offline mode.
“Only vaccinated staff (teaching & non-teaching both) shall be allowed in the school premises. Those who cannot produce vaccination certificate shall be allowed after producing the negative report of RT-PCR test. Such report shall be valid for seven (07) days and a fresh report shall be produced after seventh day. The number of students, in every classroom at a time will be limited to 50% of the capacity of the classroom. Students shall be made to sit in the classroom(s) by following social distancing norms and shall always use a mask, when in the school,”it added
Further every student / staff shall be checked for his/her body temperature before entering the school premises. The entire school premises shall be sanitized every day prior to the opening of the school.
“Students having symptoms of COVID-19 shall be advised to have the test,” it added
