Margao: Splendid victory of the Congress Party and the worst defeat of the BJP in Karnataka compelled BJP in Goa to come out of deep Slumber and realise that BJP Government at the Center has illegally approved the DPR of Kalsa Bhandura Project of Karnataka. Stop shedding Crocodile Tears and take steps to get DPR withdrawn, stated Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao.
Reacting sharply to the Resolution passed by the State Executive Committee of the BJP in Goa, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao stated that BJP has developed an “Obsession of Celebrations” when the ordinary person is suffering.
If the BJP in Goa is severe, it should pressurise its first Trouble Engine in Delhi to withdraw the Approval given to the DPR of the Kalsa Bhandura Project and maintain Status-quo. Days of BJP fooling people with Jumla political statements are long over. The BJP Executive Committee Resolution is entirely political and lacks sincerity, stated Yuri Alemao.

Referring to the Congratulatory Motion congratulating Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant for the completion of one year in office passed by the BJP State Executive in its Political Resolution, the Leader of Opposition said that BJP should feel ashamed to call it a “Unprecedented Mandate”. In reality, BJP got only 32 per cent votes and eventually robbed the people’s Mandate with the help of betrayers and defectors.
In his response to the mention of G20 Group Meetings scheduled in the State, Yuri Alemao said that BJP should understand that Goa was taken on Global Horizon by former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi by hosting the Retreat of Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Goa in 1983.
