CANACONA- Students should study and be practical to prove their skills and not simply run after prizes and awards’, stated Canacona mamlatdar Manoj Korgaonkar,
Korgaonkar speaking as the chief guest at the Annual Prize distribution function of Super School Complex in Canacona, express the opinion that instead of trying only to get a prize, children should study in terms of how todays experiments will be beneficial in their lives and also how it can help to reach thier goals with the strength of determination, perserverance and self-confidence. ‘Students should practice what they study in their day-to-day life.’
In the beginning, the traditional lamp was lit by the chief guest followed by all the dignitaries on the dais. Super School Complex Chairperson Gautami Bhagat, Canacona Divisional Education Officer Ashok Gawas Desai, Super School Complex Institutions Principals, Headmasters, Teachers and Students were present in large numbers.
The results of the competition were given away as follows-
A) Glass Bottle Painting Competition :- 1st Achal Manoj Chari (6th Class) Katyayani Baneshwar Vidyalaya Ponsulem, 2nd -Alim Shanglay (6th Class) St. Theresa of Jesus High School Chawdi, 3rd -Veetika Pagi (7th Class) Government High School Gawal-Khola
B) My Favorite Place in the World Tour Guide Contest :-
1st – Bhumista Bhagat, (Shri Mallikarjun High School Char Rasta), 2nd – S P Saab (St. Theresa of Jesus H/S Chawdi), 3rd – Mansi Devidas (Balram A Day Care School, Mokhard-Shristhal)
E) E Monthly Competition :- First – Government High School Sadolxem, Second – Gurukul High School Kazumoll, Third – Balram A Day Care School, Mokhard Shristhal.
Also on the occasion, all the schools were gifted a statue of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan at the hands of the Chief Guest.
Nisha Pereira, Blevika Fernandes and Bhagyashree Naik were judges.
In the beginning, the students of Shri Mallikarjun Vidyalaya presented a welcome song. Balram A Day Care School H/M Ashok Gaonkar introduced the chief guests while Gautami Bhagat welcomed.-END
