PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Goa government will put a system in place before the next financial year to ensure that all the panchayats get equal share of govt funds.
He said panchayats that do not submit utilization certificates of funds received under 14th finance commission did not receive funds released under 15th finance commission.
Efforts will be made to prioritise allocation of funds to those panchayats which have received less funds in the earlier financial year, he added.
Of the 191 panchayats, 92 have uploaded the development plan vis-à-vis 9 flagship schemes of the center on the eGramSwaraj (https://egramswaraj.gov.in/) portal.
The schemes have to be mapped into the portal. Until this is done panchayats cannot execute the works of centrally sponsored schemes and spend the related funds, informed Panchayat Director Siddhi Halarnkar.
Panchayats are being trained to upload the data on the portal, she added.
CM informed that as on date 14,000 people from 18 different trades have registered under the Vishwakarma Scheme. The target is to register 20,000 people, he added.
