PANAJI: Tarun Tejpal, former editor-in-chief of Tehelka magazine, has filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the Supreme Court challenging his conviction and 10-year prison sentence in a 2013 rape case.
The petition challenges the judgment of the High Court dated August 6, by which Tejpal was convicted of raping a junior female colleague in 2013 and sentenced to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment.
Tejpal has now approached the Supreme Court seeking relief against the High Court judgment and his conviction.
